Show Harry J. Robinson of Bingham and Brigham Clegg of this city are candidates for the chairmanship chairman-ship of the judiciary committee. Mr. Robinson is at present a newspaper man, and while ho has been admitted to the Utah bar, he has never practiced law here, although he did practice in Colorado before coming here. Mr. Clegg is engaged en-gaged at the present time in the practice of his profession. Both are young men, and both are regarded as good lawyers. Mr. Robinson is a Gentile and Mr. Clegg Is a Mormon. Old practitioners practi-tioners in the law are conspicuous by their absence ab-sence in the legislature, and it is probable that the chairmanship of this important committee will go to one of the two young men mentioned. |
