Show E " The apostle editor of the church organ is noth- H ing if not versatile. He sees in cyclones, destruc- Hf tion, war's wild alarms, cataclysms and earth- Hj quakes, a fulfillment of prophesy, the opening of Hi the last dispensation, a vindication of H' Mormonism. Now he sees the same Hj; mysterious workings of providence in the invention of tho wireless telegraph. This latter Hf ho thinks was invented for a quicker dissemina- tion of the gospel before the end comes, in this Hj case the gospel meaning Mormonism undeflled. Hj In other words, to follow the apostolic reasoning, H; deity inspired the most marvelous of modern in- ventions in order to spread Mormonism, and then, before it can be utilized to that magnificent 'end, Hj proceeds to kill everybody off, Mormons alone ex- Hj cepted, In typhoons, blizzards, tempests and other HH evidences of Jovian wrath. And then it seems 9 that deity took an altogether 'round-about course. If that were the object, why did not the divine wisdom which resulted in the invention of the wireless telegraph rest round and illumine the ' brain of some young Mormon so that the great missionary work could have been start'eO right here at home and by one of the Lord's annointed? It would have saved a good deal of trouble and at H, the same time would have been a great help to the apostle-editor In giving a little consistency to his most' marvelous and unique deductions. , |
