Show VALUE OF HOME GROWS RESIDENCE! BOUGHT NOW ON NORTH BENCH BOUND TO BE WORTH MORE IN FEW W YEARS IF YOU WANT TO SELL, BUT YOU WON'T WANT TO. PRICES-THERE REPRESENT ACTUAL WORTH Where to buy a home Is a question which de- S pends for its answer much on the personality of the man who is doing the selecting. One man may want bench land; another level country; a third glories in the view of the valley; a fourth wants to be near his business; a fifth likes something some-thing approaching the Joys of country life. Some sites will satisfy few of these demands; while others are so fortunate as to have all character-O' character-O' Istics which most home-buyers seek. But there are some features which are desirable desira-ble in all properties, and with all buyers; and one of these is the growth in values and the prospect pros-pect for its continuance. v Values may be "boosted," when the owners of (J a locality get the idea that everybody wants' their property and must have it at all costs. In this ' way they may reach a point which they will not surpass for several years. This may be true of almost any part of a city, or even a whole city. But it is more common in the conversion of unimproved un-improved property into city lots. It is not a usual characteristic of a thickly-settled neighborhood. Again the trend of the city's growth is something some-thing that affects values. Cities, as a rule, tend to grow in one or two directions only. The owner of property in the path of that growth is fortunate. fortu-nate. Its value will continue to grow indefinitely. North Bench Fills Bill. In all these respects the owners of property on the north bench in Salt Lake City are fortunate. It has all the advantages of location most generally gener-ally sought good situation, magnificent view, above the smoke of the city, close to the business district, and so on. Further, while there has been a steady growth in values in that region in the past few years, the values have not been boosted. The ownership is widely distributed, with the result that the Taw of supply and demand has applied in the past. It will continue to do so in the future. It follows, then, that the values of the land in that region will continue to be governed by the same law. Their growth depends on the growth of the city in that direction. And the city surely is growing in that direction. direc-tion. A street car ride on the Sixth avenue or the Ninth avenue lines is enough to convince the most skeptical. The records of public Improve-, Improve-, ments show it. The city has recognized the needs of the section by authorizing work on the new high line water main, and in many other im- provements. Handsome Homes Close in. It is the closest in of all the new residence sections, and is nearer to the city than most of the old ones. Therefore, values must grow there. "When you purchase a home there you are making a good investment, as well as buying a residence. The beautiful nuw bungalow Is the popular type of homo there, and the Salt Lake Security & Trust Company, which has established many persons per-sons in comfortable, handsome and well-built - homes, reports that some have sold, at a good i J- O profit. J, That more do not sell, It Is stated, is because tney are too well satisfied with the bungalow on the north bench as a home. The company still has a few of these homes to sell, and reports that the inquiry for them is good, because the home-seeker home-seeker realizes the advantage of buying where values are bound to grow. |
