Show The State Fair which closes today has been the best that has yet been held in Utah, and reflects re-flects a great deal of credit on the men in charge. The live stock and manufacturers' exhibits were more elaborate, substantial and better arranged ar-ranged than at any previous fair and the buildings build-ings presented a far more attractive appearance inside and out than in previous years. The conference con-ference crowds greatly swelled the attendance he last few days, so that financial y the directors of the State Fair association should have little to worry over the coming year. The amusement features that were free were all that could be asked, but next year a strong effort should be made to provide a "Midway" that will give Fair visitors something for their money besides bunk. The company which obtained ob-tained the Midway concession this year should never again be given the contract. If a Midway is worth having at all it is certainly worth something some-thing that approaches a real one. |
