Show There is a new triumvirate standing for morality, the Herald, L. D. Martin, and the delectable de-lectable News. Everybody knows that Mr. Martin Mar-tin stands against everything that might have a tendency to corrunt our beautiful city, but tor the Herald to take a stand on any qu Jon, and for the lying News, which most of its life had nothing to say about any existing vice In the city, to follow is quite an Innovation. Just why the Herald and the News should Tjeglnthe ilghr, after the beautiful notices that were given in advance ad-vance and during the early part of the meet, is scarcely clear, and there are interested citizens who would liko to know. It's a funny thing that as .soon asany sigua of life appear above the surface here, some faction fac-tion or paper begins (Something which ends in knocking the town. But the Herald and the New3 aren't half the joke that L. D. Martin is. It is too much to expect that the plans for drawing all of the sporting places on the west side could be given to one clevar architect That would be a monopoly, indeed. |
