They been life long friends and it would be lovely love-ly to see a double wedding with the two beauties nd the two men from out of the East as principals- The men never left them a moment at the Newhouse reception, and you couldn't blame them. In other words, when you get a prize at a party, cling to it. t t 0 Mr. Lee Dinwoodey leaves for San Francisco next week, and on April 27th will be married to Miss Lucile Jennings. The wedding will take place at the home of Mrs. W. Scott Crismon, the aunt of the bride, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jennings, Jen-nings, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dinwoodey will leave for the coast next week to be present at the ceremony. The couple will go to Southern California on their honeymoon, coming home by way of New Orleans and St. Louis. They will reach here the latter part of May. ) t Jt Clarence McCornick left for New York on Thursday, and will sail for Paris on April 14th, to attend the annual meeting of the Gold Roads company which occurs in that city in May. The village globe trotter will not be back for some '...x.eks. i&fr W v The wedding of Miss Charlotte Bettles and Mr. Henry Catrow took place at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Bettles, on Thursday morning, the Rev. W. M. Payden performing per-forming the ceremony. Mr, and Mrs. Catrow left for the East on the noon train, and will return about the first of June. The informal dance and house warming given by Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Miller during the week were the first of many delightful events to be given at the pretty home. A young gentleman of pugilistic inclinations was dressing for a party the other evening, and his mother was giving him some advice anent his wearing apparel. "My son," she said, "do npt wear your gloves all evening." "Now, my dear," replied the dutiful, "I'll have these mits on when everyone else is counted out." 5 i J The Fred Derns return from their honeymoon honey-moon tomorrow, and will be at home at the Emery apartments. to t5 i&R Among the most interesting weddings of early summer will be that of Miss Catherine Cufmer and Mr. Frank Roberts, which will take place the first week in June. 5 5 to The marriage of Miss Bertha Werthelmer of Birmingham, Ala., and Mr. Leon Sweet, takes place in the former city on April 20 th'. $2 v 5 The Jay Tarvin Harrises are home after a delightful de-lightful trip to the Southern States and to Cuba. v tv v Mrs. Edwin F. Holmes was hostess at a couple of smart luncl -s during the week given in honor of oi wn guests. V t?V cf9 Mr. Newhouse, Count de Laborde, "blr.
