Show This year, unless all signs fail, football enthusiasts en-thusiasts will have the pleasure of witnessing the real article in the great fall pastime. It was certainly commendable on the part of the athletic ath-letic board of the University to secure the servkes as coach of J. H. Maddock of Michigan, who will make the big east benchers perform some evolutions evolu-tions quite now in that part of the world. Mur-dook Mur-dook will have the active co-operation of Callahan and Channing, and in the- course of a month or two the Varsity should be ab.e to meet some teams from outside states without suffering the humiliation humilia-tion of past years. Murdock has all the bulk in the world to operate with, and is using every effort ef-fort to develop some speed in the material. Altogether Alto-gether the prospects for a strong, fast team are very encouraging. |
