Show B LOOKING SEAWARD. B A sundown glory over tumbling seas B Salt spray that hisses in a foamy line, B An air that courses through the veins like wine B And dusky masts beside deserted quays; gj A sibilant whisper of tho passing breeze B Prom distant woods, that murmurs faint and fine, B While westward glimmering stars begin to shine B Dim sparkling up from night's Cimmerian lees. B And idly at a casement by the west B Par from her heat's desire and far from home, B A woman waits while slow the red sun dips; B The passion of a red rose at her breast B Her eyes upon the fading crests of foam, B And ghosts of unkissed kisses on her lips. B Ernest McGaffey, in the Valley Magazine. |
