Show WOMEN IN CLUBDOM. New York has organized a city federation of women's clubs. Local club women are watching ' with much 'interest the progress of the dressmaking department depart-ment started under the auspices of the educational educa-tional committee of the State Federation. "The Club Woman" has passed into the hands of the Club Woman company, and the new management man-agement promises to bring that hitherto prosy periodical pe-riodical up to date, or a little ahead, if possible. "The Pipes of Pan, "What My Lady Wears," "The Judgment Seat" and "Pot-au-fou" are the atrik- . ing and suggestive titles of some of the new de- partments. A special feature will be short stories M by new and unknown writers. H New York club women are making a strenu- ous effort to establish a trade school, where girls may bo taught suitable trades to enable them to earn a decent livelihood and keep them from the sweat shop and tho street.
