Show The Hearst boom is growing. Its progress can be best marked by the fury displayed in that por tion of the Democratic press which wants an end nently respectable and conservative candidate. The newspapers that represent that class forget all refinement and chivalry in discussing Hearst. Their imprecations are awful, their epithets coarse and often unclean. But Mr; Hearst has the monej and the only hope of defeating Roosevelt Is through the use of money working on the corrup tible vote of three or four northern states. Wlj should there not be a leaning toward the sad when the sack is the only hope? The Hearst boom is gaining in volume and momentum. |
