Now Young Roosevelt's coming out to the West, With a smile on his visage and curls on his crest; Not to speak of those teeth and cheroots in his vest, And we'll lavishly welcome Sir Teddy. Now speed thee, bold rider, Sir Ted Roosevelt, The kopjes are yours and the broad smiling veldt; And you'd flee with moro speed if you knew how we felt, For we'll voicily welcome you, Teddy. We'll meet you with drum and shrill shrieks of the flute And a stuffed old Sir Bruin the Indecent brute; Th.e bear will be shot, sir, so please do not shoot, And we'll welcome you plenty, Sir Teddy.
