Show - ?m ; y " ' ...m irr.tr.li Jim Shakespear Eagle Rank To Shakespear James Lee Shakespear recently recent-ly received official recognition of the award of his Eagle Rank in the Boy Scouts of America organization. Robert J. Ott, District Chairman, conducted the Eagle Ceremony, with Scoutmaster, Dean Mclnelly. conducting the Ceremony of Investiture. Jim's brothers, Ryan, David, and John Shakespear welcomed their youngest brother and invited him to join with them in the Eagle rank. Jim's former Assistant Scoutmaster Sam Pollock gave him a special tribute while fellow fel-low scouts helped with the flag ceremony and other presentations. presenta-tions. Jim is the youngest Eagle Scout in Troop 679, earning the prestigious award just before his 14th birthday. Jim concluded the program with closing remarks of appreciation appreci-ation to all the scout leaders and merit badge counselors who helped him along the trail to eagle. He earned a total of 26 merit badges, with Archery hjs, favorite merit badge, completed at Thunder Ridge Camp. While a Life Scout, Jim served actively as a scribe, planned, developed, and carried out his eagle service project which will serve Bryce Valley' High School students and other athletes who participate in track and field events. He is the son of Franz and Margaret Shakespear, Tropic. |
