Show Area Residents Win Big In Three Panguitch Main Street Drawings PANGU1TCH - Nearly 300 shoppers turned out for the third and final Saturday in a series of Panguitch Christmas Merchant Drawings sponsored by the Panguitch Main Street Committee. The community has had an ongoing effort to encourage local citizens to shop "locally" at participating businesses in Panguitch. For each $5 spent, a consumer received one ticket for a chance to win one or more of vast array of prizes and money collected from local merchants. The money was converted . to "Panguitch Dollars" and was donated by motels and other businesses to ensure purchases stayed local. Some prizes were $25 but the grand prize, donated by ERA ' Brokers Consolidated, was won by eight-year-old Jory Owens of Panguitch. Drawings were held each Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. in the Panguitch Social Hall and winners had to be present to win. The following citizens took prizes from the final drawing: draw-ing: Sheri Miller and Jim Burton both won $10 value gift certificates from the Welcome Market; Lene Burton won a $10 certificate toward a savings account from Zions Bank and Lavenda Moore won a 12-pound 12-pound turkey from the Welcome Market. Some folks were multiple winners like Maxine Veater who won car wax from Bob Orton Trucking, a sweet roll and hot chocolate certificate from the Flying M Restaurant, a $5 certificate cer-tificate from Mangums Mini Mart and a $10 certificate from the Garfield Memorial Hospital Thrift Store. Emma Ahlstrom won a tee shirt from Panguitch Anglers; Lynn Armstrong took home a two-week tanning pack- age from First Impressions, an $87 value certificate for a mammogram mam-mogram service from Garfield Memorial Hospital, a $4 certificate certifi-cate from Hogi Yogi and a $5 Pokemon toy from the Cowboy Store. Jonah Schoppe was another multiple winner taking home a $ 1 5 gift box from Thomas Auto, a certificate for a sweet roll and hot chocolate from Flying M Restaurant and a certificate for a manicure from Linda Mrkvicka at L & L .Francis Porter also thought the drawing worthwhile as he took home a $16 baseball cap from Panguitch Anglers, a $5 cert, from Subway and a $25 cash prize from Yardley Insurance. Raigan Hatch won a $17 certificate cer-tificate from C-Stop Pizza & Deli and a Strikes and Spares bowling game from the Cowboy Store; Jordan Schow claimed a $17 certificate from Creative Cakes by Sharon Munson; Camree McCullough won an $18 value dinner from Grandma Tina's and a 12-pk of soda from KB Express. Ileta Dix won a $20 certificate certifi-cate for dinner at Foys Country Corner Cafe; Gayleen Burdick won $20 in oil and filter from Lynn's NAPA Auto; Norm Henrie won $24 value two 8 x 10 portraits from Photo Memories by Jill Nowers; Alex Ricketts won an oil change and filter from Panguitch ATV; Ryan Bridges a $25 certificate to Angel's Herbs and Gift Shop and Autumn Duff a $25 photo cake from Creative Cakes. Marianne Crofts won a S?5'. certificate from Owens Brothers Panguitch Lake General Store; Trent Gilbert won a $25 certificate certifi-cate from PAWSZ, $30 from COS, a sweet roll and hot chocolate from Flying M Restaurant and a $5 Pokeman from the Cowboy Store; Tammy Barton won $25 gift from Radio Shack; Jazmine James won $25 cookie jar and cookies from Red Brick Inn of Panguitch and Peggy Egan won a one-year gift subscription to the Garfield County News. Hilma Excell won a $32 value toy piano from H & R Builders; and Dalan Bennett and Darlene Evans each won a $43 value one-month credit on water and sewer from Panguitch City. Panguitch Throw Cover, Christmas ornament, etc. Dorothy Pingrey won a $65 ceiling fan from Steve Fellows Renovation; Cheryl Church won a $133 value CDWalkman from Panguitch Drug and Troy Pollock won a free quilting class offered by Jo Purcell from the Panguitch Quilt Shop located in the rear of the Cobblestone Cottage Gift Shop. Roxanna Simkins, Adrianna Gilbert, Becky Brooks, Kammie Orton and Shelley Yardley each won certificates for a sweet roll and hot chocolate at the Flying M Restaurant.
