Show IB'JS By Betty Wiley 624-3215 Valeen Roberts has been in Minnesota to be with her daughter, daugh-ter, Kena Sue, when she had her new baby. The Antimony LDS Ward held a Valentines Party at the Cultural Hall on Friday evening Feb. 1 1 with plenty of good food and all had an enjoyable evening. Barbara Gleave's mother, Zella Griffith passed away at the Payson Hospital Friday night. Her funeral was held on Wednesday, Feb. 16 in Spring City. ' Barbara, her husband, Calvin and all their family attended the funeral. Mona Rae Twitchell and her son, Leon Twitchell attended the funeral in Henrieville for Feb. 1 1 for her sister LaRona's husband, hus-band, Delano Callahan. Layne Blood attended some meetings on Sunday morning. This was the first time to meetings meet-ings since his surgery for a new knee. Coby Gleave was advanced to the office of a teacher in Antimony LDS Ward Sacrament meeting on Sunday, Feb. 6. The Tom Martin family furnished fur-nished the program in Sacrament meeting Feb. 13. Burns and Mona Black have been in Orlando, FL to visit with Norman Black, who was the a wife of deceased Noal Black, Burns' brother. The Creston Black family drove to Nebraska to attend a bull sale, as his dad and mother, Burns and Mona Black arrived back in Salt Lake City from Florida. Burns changed planes and went on to Nebraska and Mona drove home to Antimony. Burns will come home with his son and family. Bishop Tim Westwood and wife, Holly, attended the LDS Temple in St. George for the wedding of Stacey Ann Robinson and David Shakespear. Stacey is a daughter daugh-ter of David and Teresa Robinson and granddaughter of the Leland Robinsons and Jerry and Janene Savage. Robert Porter won second place and a silver medal in wrestling at state. His record for the year was 33 wins and 3 losses. loss-es. Robert wrestled at the 112 lb. weight division and is a senior sen-ior this year. The Piute High School Girls Basketball team beat Altamont in a playoff game Tuesday evening. The game went in to overtime with scores tied. Piute's Heather Allen shot a basket bas-ket and won the game for Piute. She had made 12 points and this win send Piute to state for the first time in four years. They played in opening round in Richfield against Dugway on Feb. 16. Phil Allen and Shannon Allen took their Polled Hereford Bulls to the bull sale in Salina on Saturday, Feb. 12. This is an annual show and Phil said it was a very good sale this year. Carol Blood was able to attend Relief Society and taught her class for the first time since she came home from the Provo Hospital. She is getting better, but it will take time. Eugene King and Valeria King went up to Provo to his heart doctor for his appointment on Tuesday. |
