"''( 4 ? .. - r Panguitch High School debate students who proudly brought home the overall fifth place win in the state of Utah at State Debate competition at Dixie State College included (back row) Dani Griffin, Grif-fin, Erin Fischer, Stacee Stewart, Kelci Eldredge, PANGUITCH Students once again brought honor to Panguitch High School as they captured a number of SpeechDebate medals at both Region and State competition in March. Region competition was held this year at Valley High School where Panguitch won first place for the fourth year irt a row. Some 26 students competed in six different events. At state, Panguitch took fifth 4 Bracken Englestead, Hannah Gregurek, Sabrina Martinez and Brett Sawyer, (middle row) Emry Humphreys, John Zechlin and Maggie Burrows, (front row) Nicole Dastrup, Ben Joslin, Ryan Houston Hous-ton (coach) Autumn Hernandez. PHS Debate Team Captures Wins Region And State Competition place overall in competition held at Dixie State College Mar. 16-17. Senior Bracken Englestead was a gold medal state champion, taking first place in Student Congress. Autumn Hernandez was the bronze medalist, taking 3rd place in Student Congress. Brett Sawyer brought home a 4th place in the Extemporaneous category and Dani Griffin won a fifth place for Impromptu. Some seventeen Panguitch High School students traveled and competed at the state level including Pam Prince, Tiffany Bulkley, Brett Sawyer, Kela Eldredge, Shawn Talbot, John Zechlin, Justin Talbot, Autumn Hernandez, Bracken Engle-stead, Sabrina Martinez, Hannah Gregurek, Dani Griffin, Ginger Emerson, Airean Emerson, Emry Humphreys, Maggie Burrows and Erin Fischer. |
