Show mmm im'js I I By Marlene Haws 826-4859 marlenehcolor-country.net Well, I've seen a few deer in the back of a pickup or two, but don't know who the hunters were. Jim and Lola Alvey, Mapleton, came for a few days and brought Eva Dean Liston home. Then they took two granddaddy deer home from the Boulder area. Clyde Christensen, Tooele, went out with his father-in-law, Freland Alvey, and brought home a pretty good-sized deer. But I sure haven't smelled any buck meat frying around my neighborhood! Phyllis Alvey was taken by ambulance to the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City where she had surgery to repair a broken vertebra verte-bra in the top part of her spine. She had surgery one day and went to her daughter Terrie Christensen's house in Tooele the next day. Terrie and Clyde brought her back home and hunted before returning to '. Tooele. Crisann Christensen i will be here to help out for a few days then will go back to attend school this winter. ' ' Ryan Cottam came home, - ; from Cedar City, to hunt with " his dad Brent and brother Chad. I I think they got a couple so maybe I'll get a fry yet! ; ! Congratulations to Keith and ' Deann Adams on their new ; , baby, little Chanley. Talk about ; ! hiding your light under a bushel! - I didn't even know they had ordered a new baby! Jennifer's parents Gary and Sandy Liston and grandmother LaVon Shreeve of St. Johns, Ariz., and her sister Emilee Clark of Cannonville were also there for the happy occasion. Congratulations to John and Jen! Steve Barney, son of Ray and Lois Barney, and Travis Herion, grandson of the Barneys (son of Mike and Elizabeth Herion), came from Kaysville to hunt for a few days with Ray. After they left, Ray and Lois went to California to see another grandson, grand-son, son of Cindy and Tom Black, who was just returning from an LDS mission. They were there to hear him speak in sacrament meeting last Sunday. Cris and Tammy Christensen have moved back home from the St. George area. Cris will be going back to work on the oil rigs and will be gone a week and home a week, but he says it will be worth it as he has not been weaned away from Escalante yet! Joleen Phillips and Ardis Christensen went to St. George for a doctor appointment last week. Joleen came back home but Ardis stayed there to visit with her children and grandchil- dren for a few days. Jo Ellynd Bulloch brought her from Cedar City to Panguitch and Norman met them there and brought Ardis back home. Mike and LaDell Alvey, Kanab, stopped at the home of Rolain Alvey one day during the hunt. Jon and Jillyn Sorensen and family, Salina, spent the weekend week-end with Klyn and Marlene Haws.
