Itevs By Marva Fletcher 679-8521 Larry and Glenna Fletcher and family members Richard, Delon, Diane, Matthew and Catherine went to Spring City on Monday and spent the night .there with their daughter and son-in-law Denise and David Broderick and family. Then on Tuesday morning they all went to the airport in Salt Lake City to see Elder Bryce Fletcher off on the ' plane for the California-San Jose Mission. Louise Mangum and daughter. Kay Dunham went to Cedar City on Monday for medical appointments. appoint-ments. Erica Racker and sons Michael and David of St. George spent the weekend here with her parents Alma and Anita Fletcher. Several members of the Young Mens' and the Young Womens' organizations from the Cannonville LDS Ward attended the youth conference in Tropic, along with their leaders, and reported a wonderful and inspiring meeting. The speakers were from Brigham Young University. Steve and Louise Willis are here with their mother Bonnie Willis to participate in the elk hunt. Evelyn Heaton received word that her sister-in-law Donna Keefe of Parowan had passed away. Tiffany Cronin and Dayne Reynolds spent the day Wednesday here visiting Dayne's grandparents Lark and Bea Reynolds. Dayne is the son of Wayne Reynolds. On Monday, the Johnsons and Lula Moore went to Cedar City for medical appointments. John and Chalotte Mathews, son Dillon, daughter Sheila, son and, daughter-in-law Darren and Stacy Mathews and children of Panguitch, Ben and Diane Mathews, Math-ews, and sons David and Trevor Mathews, and Joe and Rae Hughes all, attended the blessing of little Joseph Hunter, son of Joe and Aloha Mathews. He was blessed by his father in St. George. The group was also joined by David Mathews and wife Andrea and Denver Mathews and Shannon Stratton of Hurricane. Steve and Verjean Clark had all - the members of their family here for the wedding reception of Kyla and Ron: Cary and Cynthia and family, Stephanie and Clint Brinkerhoff Brink-erhoff and family, Derrick and ' Sherel Clark and family, and of course, the newlyweds. We wish them much happiness. At Vaughn and Mae Twitchell's home on Sunday to help him celebrate his 77th birthday were family members Craig Twitchell and grandson Chase, Kirk and Lori Mumford and family, and Douglas and Tammy Twitchell and family, all of Cedar City, and granddaughter Megan Young of Hatch. Many happy returns of the day, Vaughn. Mel and Phyllis Beard report that the trip to New England was marvelous. Perfect weather, Indian summer, and the fall leaves were at their peak of color. They brought some home to remind them of the beauty. The purpose of the trip was to attend the baptism of their granddaughter Naomi Clegg. They attended a New Jersey symphony concert for school children with their granddaughters. Just before coming home, they drove to Old Sturbridge Village, Mass., a wonderful 1830's restored village. Mel liked the old water-powered sawmill and the carding mill. Phyllis liked watching the women cook and bake in their big kitchen open fireplaces. What a grand trip it must have been. |
