Show By Marva Fletcher 679-8521 Rosemary Fletcher took her mother, Marva Fletcher to Cedar City for a couple of days, then daughter Annabelle Palmer came from Fontana, Calif., and brought her home to Cannonville where she will visit for a week. Annabelle's daughter, Jennifer Stafford and son, Henry of St. George came to Cedar City where they had lunch and visited. vis-ited. The best news of all is that Cherish Shakespeare, daughter of Tom and Gay Shakespeare, is home and recovering from her accidental fall. She came home on Tuesday, Apr. 1 1 ; she had both arms in casts and a walking cast on her foot. Her mother said she has many bruises but she has the doctor's permission to go to school for a short time each day. The Shakespeares have great praise for the trauma center at LDS Hospital and are also very grateful for the prayers and good wishes of everyone in the area. Cherish has to go back for a checkup on Thursday. The fact that she came home with only one crutch is surely an indication of the "true grit" and determination of this young lady. We love you Cherish and are so happy that you are recovering recov-ering so well from injuries that could have been devastating. John and Ramona Morreale made a trip to Cedar City for materials mate-rials to work on the home they now have under construction. Their son, Jeremy Moss, will enter the LDS Missionary Training Center on May 3 1 before leaving on his mission mis-sion to the Texas, San Antonio mission. The program in LDS Sacrament meeting was given by the Chris and Andrea McCormick family. Talks ninimFniiinnmininmiinnnBi were given by Marty, Robbie and Brent, followed by their parents, Andrea and Chris. Cherlyn Twitchell and Kory Yardley came over from Cedar City to attend the Junior Prom last week at Bryce Valley HighSchool. Marty and Ethel Rich and son Rusty attended a rodeo in Moab last week and this week they went to Tooele where Rusty will compete. The Karl Munford family was featured on television this week as they were recently given a trip to Hawaii by the Make-A-Wish Foundation Foun-dation for cancer patients and their families. They reported having a wonderful time. Cami Munford, who is a granddaughter of Vaughn and Mae Twitchell, had to go back to Salt Lake City this week for her regular checkup and received the good news that she is fine. Larry and Glenna Fletcher received re-ceived word that they had a granddaughter grand-daughter born to daughter Denise and husband David Broderick on Apr. 14. Glenna will spend several days with them to help with the other kids. They new baby has two brothers and a sister to welcome her. Many people from Cannonville attended the 80th birthday party for Afton Pollock in Tropic last week. I'm sure everyone enjoyed it because be-cause it has been quite awhile since so many good friends have gotten together. Afton must be in really great shape to stand on his feet as long as he did to greet his guests. Annabelle Palmer returned home to Fontana, Calif., after spending 10 days with her mother, Marva Fletcher. While she was here, they did several "fun" things but painting paint-ing the bedroom wasn't one of (See CANNONVILLE on pg. 4-A) CANNONVILLE From Page 3A them. Rosie Fletcher of Cedar City also came and visited. A number of Cannonville residents resi-dents attended the Garfield Republican Republi-can Convention held last week at Bryce Valley High School. Marva Fletcher and Annabelle Palmer were especially happy to attend since their grandson and nephew, Jason Feltcher Wright, is a candidate for the U.S. Congress from our district. dis-trict. Jason is a son of Sandra Wright and the late Wil S. Wright. He was accompanied by wife Kodi and two small daughters. |
