Show . . 1 4 Uj k ...... Former Tropicites, Thelma S. and Duane Slaugh of Salt Lake City and Jannet S. and LeFay Coleman of Orderville made the rounds through Tropic one day. Some of those with whom they visited were Dixie Shakespear, Agnes Littlefield, and Ora Brinkerhoff. Brink-erhoff. Dorie Baugh spent a night with her mother, Shanna Goulding in St. George and, then attended a workshop work-shop the next morning at one of the schools in the area. Sandrea Francisco and Alfred Foster helped the scouts learn more first aid techniques on Tuesday. Grandmother Gwen Brinkerhoff is proud to have another grandson, Jake, born to Jeff and Andrea Brinkerhoff of Cedar City. Ferrell is the proud grandfather and of course Ora is the proud great-grandmother. Speaking of Ora Brinkerhoff, she spent several weeks with her daughter, Oretta Maemeal of Las Vegas. Oretta brought her back to Tropic. Ora said that her other daughter, Rosie Hunt and kids of Beaver came to visit with her already and are glad to have her back in Tropic. The BVHS drama group of 11 students competed at region in Tuacahn and qualified to take their play to state. This is the first time the students have been able to go and they are excited about it. We congratulate them on this milestone. mile-stone. Dixie Shakespear took Rella Alvey, Janet Pollock and Minnie Nielson to Panguitch to visit at the care center. Lynn Munson is anxious to get home, but probably not as anxious as her co-correspondent! co-correspondent! The annual Cub Scout Cake Auction was recently held and all 17 cakes were sold to the highest . bidder. Auctioneers for this activity were Herb Baugh and Brian Cowan. (See TROPIC on page 4-A) TROPIC From Page 2-A There were four cub scouts who received a rank advancement. Kaden Pollock, J.J. Dunham, Shawn Syrett, and Cache Mortensen all received their Bear Rank. Seventy belt loops were presented to the cub scouts who earned them. Ella Adair is spending some time with her son Larry Adair in St. George. The monthly enrichment meeting held Wednesday night for the LDS Relief Society sisters was well attended with a guest speaker, Brent Judd of Cedar City, who admonished us to temper our anger and be forgiving. (The cinnamon rolls were good, too!) Margaret Shakespear chauffeured (See TROPIC on page 5-A) TROPIC From Page 4-A sisters Marian Mecham and June Shakespear to Richfield to visit another sister Arlene Findlay who is staying with her son and daughter-in-law Lynn and Dayle Findlay. As always, the Findlays are delightful hosts who know how to satisfy an appetite! It's still not too late to do some spring cleaning, but remember, junk is something you've kept for years and throw away three weeks before you need it. Nacole and Rick Crofts, Or-derville, Or-derville, visited with Floyd and Alaska Richards when Shilo and Geneva Richards' baby was blessed. Grant and Darlene LeFevre, Bountiful, visited Adrian and Glenna Pollock. The last few visitors with Clive and Thelma Bybee have been Sean and Karen Bybee, Cedar City; Mary Ann, St. George, and Sharon White, Santa Clara. Jeff and Andrea Brinkerhoff, Cedar Ce-dar City have a new son, Jake. Fer-rell Fer-rell and Gwen are the proud grandparents. grand-parents. Ora Brinkerhoff returned from Las Vegas after staying with her daughter Oretta Maemeal. We congratulate the BVHS drama club who are going to compete com-pete at state competition.
