Show Area Obituaries Gwen Davis Edwards PANGUITCH, Utah Gwen Cooper Davis Edwards, passed away Oct. 4, 2001 in Panguitch, Utah. She was born Jan. 15, 1917 in Panguitch, Utah to Nathaniel and Isabella Church Cooper. She married Lynn Davis. Together, they raised five children: chil-dren: Kenneth, deceased, Doug Davis of St. George, Grant Davis and Bette Davis both of Salt Lake City, Barbara Gendel of Henderson, Nev. Lynn preceded pre-ceded her in death, June 21, 1968. She married Garn R. Edwards, Dec. 28, 1970 and he preceded her in death March 7, 1997. She loved her children and was a wonderful homemaker and a wonderful cook. Her love of music was evident in her various var-ious callings in the church including ward organist and many community functions. Upon moving to Salt Lake City, she worked at Auerbachs and ZCMI. Her failing health took her back to Panguitch where she resided at the local care center since September of 1998. In addition to her four children, chil-dren, she is survived by six grandchil-dren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters and brother, Mae Charles, Jean Solie, Faye Rosenberg and Grant Cooper. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; a brother Jim and a sister Grace. Funeral services were held Oct. 8, 2001 at the Panguitch 2nd and 3rd LDS Ward Chapel. Goulding PANGUITCH, Utah Beverly Norton Goulding, 66, of Panguitch, Utah, died Oct. 5, 2001 in Panguitch. She was born Feb. 7, 1935 in Panguitch to William Otto and Opal Talbot Norton. She married Ralph Pratten Goulding, June 7, 1952 in Panguitch. Their marriage was solemnized in March of 1978 in the Swiss LDS Temple. She was an active member of the LDS Church where she served as ward librarian, ward primary president, enjoyed genealogy genealogist and was director of the Family History Library in Panguitch where she worked for many years. She was an active member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and was a curator of the Panguitch DUP Museum. While her husband hus-band was serving in the US Army, she worked, with the troops. They have also lived in Alaska and in Germany. She is survived by her husband hus-band of Panguitch; children, William Goulding of Cedar City, Gretcheri (W. Kim) Sullivan of St. George and Cauleen (Troy) Pollock of Panguitch; three grandchildren ! ' ' Beverly Goulding Kazen Pollock, W. Que Porter ESCALANTE Funeral services for Que Allen Porter were held Wednesday, Oct. 3 at the Escalante 1st Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop Wade Barney officiating. The family prayer was offered by Allen Arthur Porter, a son and prelude and postlude music was played by Susan Shurtz. The invocation was offered by Jay Que Hales, a grandson and a musical selection was sung by Marlene Haws, Deon Alvey and Geraldine Liston, all cousins, "Somewhere My Love," accompanied by Susan Shurtz. A tribute was given by daughter daugh-ter Sandra Porter and a cousin, Edith Sharp, was a speaker. Laura Hales, a granddaughter-in-law, sang "Daddy's Hands." Shirel Houston, a brother-in-law, was a speaker and remarks were made by Bishop Wade Barney. Delane Griffin, Lynn Griffin and Brent Griffin sang the "Escalante Song" and the benediction bene-diction was offered by Max Porter, a brother. Pallbearers were grandsons, grandsons-in-law, and great-grandsons. great-grandsons. Honorary pallbearers pallbear-ers were brothers-in-law, cousins and friends. Flower girls were granddaughters, granddaughters-in-law, and great-granddaughters. Interment was held at the Escalante City Cemetery with military rites by the Escalante American Legion Post 1 14. The dedication of the grave was offered by Blain Pratt Porter, a son. Compassionate services were rendered by the Escalante 1st Ward Relief Society sisters. Funeral directors: Neal S.
