Bennett and Alfield Josie of Bryce Junction were visitors on Sunday, with Ryan and Lucinda Josie and the La Val Sawyers. The annual Castle Valley Mutton Mut-ton Fry, hosted by Kerry and Elaine Sawyer, was held on Saturday, Aug. 3. A good crowd attended. Those from here were Kelley and Lyn Dix, Steven and Brandon Dix, and May Sawyer. Sue Barney and children visited her parents, Mn and Mrs. Clair Stocks of Cedar City , while Louis Barney was fishing in Mexico. Bill and Caroline Doughty received re-ceived word that their daughter Char was in St. Petersburg, Russia. All was well. She will be teaching in Moscow. Todd Humphries and children have moved here. Welcome. Wallace and Marilyn Heap and Garth Heap of Cedar City were here for a few days. They were rounding up the cattle. Ivor Riggs of Cedar City visited here over the weekend. Jaycen Walter has received his LDS mission call. He has been called to work in the Washington D.C. Mission. He will leave in November. He is the son of Scot and Jill Walter. Jesuah Morterson was ordained a Priest in LDS sacrament meeting. Carl and LaPreal Wilson of St. George visited friends and family over the weekend. Cody and Jennifer Baldwin and children of Las Vegas, Nev. visited the LaMar Barneys and the Dennis Daltons over the weekend. Deloy and Jolene Evans of Hurricane, Hur-ricane, Noreen Evans of St. George and Andrea LeBarren and children, were here for the weekend. Visiting them were Shirlene Jensen and son Kelly Barnhurst of Las Vegas, Nev. Gearald and Hope Robinson of La Verkin and Ed and Gai Moore of St. George were here visiting relatives rela-tives and friends. They also attended at-tended the Evans reunion, which was held at Red Point where there were 80 in attendance. A visitor at the Scot Walter home was Brooke Walter of St. George. Russ and Pat Walter, and Mark and Val Walter and their families fami-lies of St. George and Neil Walter also visited. |
