Show CAWJOHViLLG NEWS By Marva Fletcher 679-8521 Don and Louise Mangum had a special opportunity this past Sunday to attend LDS sacrament sacra-ment meeting in St. George where they saw their son David Mathews called and set apart as bishop of his LDS ward. Clifford and Collette Mathews, and Shelby and Christian, Ben Diane Mathews were also there to support him at his important new calling. Gerald and Dawn Stock went to Lindon to attend a Smith family fam-ily reunion. On Friday night, they stayed at Spring Lake with Dawn's cousin Kathy Jacobsen and her husband Don. They reported having a wonderful time visiting together. Trish Thompson, Glenda Feltner and Phyllis Beard traveled trav-eled to the St. George LDS Temple for a session and a training train-ing session at the LDS Church's Humanitarian Services Center. They also stopped in Washington and visited Todd and Jennifer Feltner and their family. They said it was a wonderful won-derful day but they were both tired by the time they parked the car in Cannonville. Mel and Phyllis Beard took their son Aaron to Camp Kostopolous in Salt lake City. Rosie Fletcher met with an accident on Tuesday while irrigating irri-gating the lawn and garden. She stumbled over a low grass and weed-covered tap and fell on a jagged rock, cutting her leg. The wound was cleaned at the Cannonville Clinic and then on to Panguitch where Beck Roberts stitched it up. Rosie and her mother, your columnist, then traveled on to Cedar City for the week. Marva seemed to suffer more trauma over the accident than Rosie! Raphael Morreale and Rosa Lee Thompson spent time in Mexico with their Spanish class. The report is that they all had a great time. Joe Thompson and son Daniel and George Thompson and son Shan made a trip to Las Vegas to attend the auction. After inventorying their purchases pur-chases in the Wal-Mart Shopping Center, it looked like they has some pretty neat stuff to play with. Andrea McCormick had a trip to Salt Lake City on Thursday to attend a funeral and then . on to Pocatello, Ida., to attend a wedding. |
