They are, left to right, Jen TROPIC Bryce Valley High School can be proud for the second - year in a row they took top honors at the annual Constitution Bowl held at Canyon View High in Cedar City. Advisor Ruth Baugh accompanied accompa-nied five students on the outing where they went head to head with students from Dixie, Snow Canyon, Can-yon, North Sevier, Fredonia and Woods Cross higji schools. The Seller, Marshall Thompson, Rosaiee Thomp-son, advisor Ruth Baugh, Denise Clark and Kirsten Shakespear. Bryce Valley Students Take Top Honors At Constitution Bowl event, normally a southern Utah competition included Woods Cross this year, the team that gave BVHS students the most difficult time. Bryce Valley and Woods Cross tied for first place and in a five question runoff, Bryce Valley sue- , cumbed on the final question by not hitting the buzzer quickly enough : bringing home second place. Last year, competing for the first time as juniors, they brought home a proud first place as well. Participating in the Apr. 9 event were Marshall Thompson, 10th . grade; Kirsten Shakespear, 10th grade; Denice Clark, 10th grade; Jon Seiler, 9th grade, Rosaiee ; Thompson, 7th grade and alternate Savannah Thompson, 10th grade. Each student received a video on government or the constitution, a medal and a plaque. |
