Show Bryce Lions Celebrate 35th Birthday TROPIC Members of the Bryce Lions Club celebrated their 35th birthday Apr. 10 with an evening dinner held at the Xannonville LDS cultural hall. Special guests were District Governor Louis Bowler and his wife Dorcas; and Vice Governor Don Stuker and his wife Dottie; Past International Director Daryl Shumway; and Past District Governor Lamar LeFevre. Special awards were presented to charter members Robert Ott, Earl Jolley and Joseph Hughes. A 15-year chevron went to Stanley Ott and a 10-year chevron to Rick Bybee. When the club was organized, they were sponsored by the Panguitch and Kanab Lions Clubs. Representing the Panguitch Pan-guitch Lions Club at the celebration cele-bration were Mack Oetting and Usher Henrie. Special musical numbers were performed by Lion KayMar Willis and Lion Ralph Chynoweth told the Tall Bear Tale. The bryce lions will sponsor the Bryce Valley High School representative to Boys State this year. The club also sponsored a very successful Easter Egg Hunt for the children of the Bryce Valley area where approximately 200 children were treated to eggs and goodies. |
