Owners at the BRYCE The owners of Best Western Rubys Inn at Bryce re-v re-v c;ntly decided to purchase 160-unit motel for sale in Evanston, Wyo., dismantle it and reassemble it on site at Bryce Canyon. The new facility will offer cheaper, more economic motel rooms through Rubys Inn and will be located across the street separate from the more luxurious facilities of the Best Western. Called Bryce View Lodge, the newly remodeled facility was purchased pur-chased in response to charter tour operators who needed to put together to-gether a more "competitive" tour package than could be presently offered by Rubys Inn. Their tour packages will offer "older, clean, comfortable and affordable motel rooms," according spokesman Bob Syrett. Several Syrett family members resort purchased the 15-year-old motel in Wyoming for transport to their site and complete remodeling. Motel will offer competitive rates to attract bus tours. Uryce View Lodge' at Rubys Inn To Offer Lower Rates For Bus Tours traveled to Evanston to see the 15-year-old motel and determined it could be moved and rehabed into a first rate lodge. They hired Wedge-wood Wedge-wood Homes of Hilldale to dismantle disman-tle and haul the units to Bryce Canyon Can-yon and to totally remodel the facilities fa-cilities on site at Bryce. There are two crews of workers, one on site in Wyoming and the other putting in long days at Bryce to complete the transition. Workers Work-ers at Rubys Inn have been preparing prepar-ing the site for relocation of the motel units by hauling gravel and laying pads of cement. The new motel has a beautiful backdrop of forest and meadows and will be an excellent addition to the already famous and popular resort facility. Forty units were on site and being be-ing framed in on Monday, with four trucks arriving each day, each carry ing two new units. In all 160 motel mo-tel rooms will be remodeled with new carpet and vinyl, repainted and many will receive new furniture as well. Part of the Evanston purchase included a unit which houses an office and apartment living quarters and this will be the final unit brought to Bryce. All facilities are hoped to be rehabed and on line by June 1 or earlier. Several have kitchenettes and rooms with adjoining adjoin-ing doors for larger traveling groups. As part of this expansion of rooms Rubys Inn has plans to turn their former Red Canyon Conference Confer-ence Room into a dining facility. They will offer full breakfasts and most likely steak and seafood menu in the evening. Rubys will still book conference groups but offer that facility only in winter now. |
