Show New 4-H Club Formed In Tropic TROPIC A Citizenship club was recently formed in the Bryce Valley area by 4-H leader Margaret Shakespear. The seven new members will learn how to help their communities become better places to live by working together, learning and promoting service projects. Club members are John Shakespear, Daniel Thompson, Britten Twitchell, Paul Shakespear, Taryn Piatt, Cher-lynn Cher-lynn Twitchell and Triessa Ramsay. Ram-say. The newly formed club was awarded grant money for their community pride service project, which included assisting the local ParentTeachersStudents Organization Organi-zation in making the high school graduation night dance a success. The members hung posters, purchased pur-chased decorations, bought door prizes, made a time capsule and enlarged the senior's graduation pictures to assist in decorating the gymnasium. The Chevron Corporation gave the club the money necessary to aide them in their efforts to keep the seniors and other students safe on graduation night. Member John Shakespear applied for and subsequently received the award from Chevron, who challenges clubs and communities to improve im-prove their citiees and towns. |
