Show Act Before It's Too Late With total dismay, I read the daily papers and watch the news. What has happened to America? Don't we care anymore? This country should be screaming fob impeachment. Not tomorrow of next week but TODAY. This may' be the only chance we have to save our country. I've heard people peo-ple say, "We'd only get worse". "We knew what he was when we ' voted for him." Both may be true ' but if we care for this county's future we will act now. We need to stand from the roof tops and j scream, "THIS IS WRONG", just I so our youth will know we don't condone lying, cheating on one's. I wife, or any of the other injustices being perpetrated on the American Ameri-can public. ; Has America gone so far downhill that we don't care how wicked our leaders are? A brief glance at history will show how I many other civilizations fell for this very reason. Yet we seem to b'e more worried about who won last night's ski races, than the cancer that is eating at this nation from inside. We need to demand the highest personal standards of Character from our leaders. A lie undermines the moral foundations 6f this country and weakens the fiber of our every action. Given his lack of irresponsibility, how can we trust our county's future to our President? It's time for every good man and woman to say "enough is enough". Stop this charade now. Lets tell our youth that truth does count, that cheating is unacceptable unaccept-able in the classroom or the bedroom, that everyone is subject to the laws; even, or maybe especially, espe-cially, the President of the United States. I'm terrified. Let's act before its too late for America. Elaine M. Baldwin Panguitch |
