Show Tropic News By Louise Ott 679-8776 Vertis and Lester Clarke were in Vernal recently for the blessing of a great-grandson. Kristine and Ron Nez had a baby boy on Sept 29. Grandparents are Jerry and Carol Pollock and great-grandparents great-grandparents are Larvin and Eva Pollock, all of Tropic. They named him Gerald Kee Nez. Eva Pollock said that all of Bill and Stacey Pollock's children were in attendance to their son Bill's testimonial. Kent and Betty Wintch were in St. George for eye doctor appointments appoint-ments then went on to Panaca, Nev. to visit son Kenny and fam-ily. fam-ily. Drew Mecham, son of Steve and Shelly Mecham, from Salt Lake City stayed a week with his grandparents, Lowell and Margaret Mecham. His parents will come down to take him home. Visiting at Faye and DeVar Pollock was Chris and Donald Henderson from Las Vegas. They had a picnic in the mountains, then Marty Ott visited with Faye and DeVar Pollock. It was reported last week that Earl Jolley was home from the extended ex-tended care center, but as this writing, writ-ing, he is back as a patient in the Garfield Memorial Hospital. His daughter Helen and Dar Smith are here and son Henry and daughter-in-law LaVern Jolley are here from Beaver. Verlyn Munson is in the extended ex-tended care center in Panguitch. She would love a visit from anyone that can come by. Connie Douglas is the new teacher with the special education department at Bryce Valley School. She is from Nashville, Tenn. She is living in Flora LeFevre's house. Mr and Mrs Steve Hatch, the new coach at Bryce Valley this year are living in Roy and Wanda Shakespear's. They have three children. chil-dren. Visiting at Dixie Shakespear's was Wally and Audrey Scott from Sandy. Most of Dixie's children were home over the weekend helping help-ing her harvest her garden and fruit. Several are enjoying traveling over to the Panguitch Lake and Mt. Dutton areas to see the glorious fall colors in all of their splendor. What a beautiful time of year, especially espe-cially after all the rain that we have had. The world sure looks and smells so clean and fresh after a good bath. Gloria Hayden has moved into her new home. She is Bart Palmer's Pal-mer's mother and was raised in Cannonville. She says it is good to be back in this area. Dorie Baugh has been taking a class in Richfield one night a week. She meets daughter Cari Baugh there and says she really enjoys their time together. |
