Betty Cooper, with the eye of an artist and the skill of Brian Johnson, has turned the pioneer home next to her house, once owned by aunt Olive Cooper, into a snug reminder of the past. On the same intersection are two other pioneer homes that have been restored: the house now owned by Jerry and Cece Wilcox, formerly owned by Armeda Farnsworth, and the house now owed by Nora nd Dora Ann Henrie, formerly owned by Vane and Uta-hnaSandin. Uta-hnaSandin. .. Many of the homes and surrounding sur-rounding town have been cleaned up-and up-and fixed this summer. It certainly makes the town look good. Korbin Gary Leach, son of Gary and Sheree Leach, was blessed by his father in Panguitch 4th Waid Sacrament meeting. Megan Os-born, Os-born, daughter of Kent and Donna Osborn, graduated from Primary; and the Relief Society president was released. The new president is Diane Di-ane Fullmer, her counselers are Joan Norton and Lana Foy, and her secretary is Michelle Davis. Jim Keller and Robert Julander were released from their positions in the ward. Laurel Holman was sustained as assistant Teacher advisor and Rachel Keller was released as ward chorister. Visiting here with Joan Norton was her uncle Kenneth Roberts and his family. Linda Blake, daughter of Mary and the late Jess Coon, and mother of Debbie Bridges, passed away recently. She also had three sons. Our love and sympathy go to Mary and Debbie and their families. Don and Lucille Bridges and Lu-cille's Lu-cille's brother, Riley Miler and his wife Bobbie, spent three days vacationing vaca-tioning on the East Fork. Sean, Jenny and son Caleb Stowell and Sean's brother Caleb, were here to visit grandma Merle Stowell. In Panguitch 2nd Ward LDS Sacrament meeting, the Jordan family fam-ily was welcomed in as new members. mem-bers. Casey McCullough was sustained sus-tained an elder. Luke Tebbs was sustained to be ordained a teacher. (See PANGUITCH on page 4-A) PANGUITCH From page 2-A Leland Pollock was sustained as a Sunday School teacher. Derek Barton Bar-ton received his Eagle Scout award. Roger Cache Black, son of Chad and Michelle Linford Black, was blessed by his father. Many of Chad's family were in attendance. Michell's aunt Arda Cox and family also came for the occasion. Art and Beverly Crosby, Boyd and Renee Owens, Ned and Melba Owens, and DeWitt and Beth Hey-wood Hey-wood are spending a week in Po-' Po-' mona, Calif. The men will attend the horse races while the women will attend the Pomona County Fair. The Hyrum Elmer family moved into their new home on Pigweed Lane. The Nathan Chamberlain's Cham-berlain's are building a garage on their property on the same street. (See PANGUITCH on page 6-A) PANGUITCH From page 4-A Eva Marshall had all her children chil-dren home for a visit. Leland Mar-chall Mar-chall and Mona Jean Savage live in town. Wilma Peterson and her daughters Cynthia and Sheila came to join them. Donald and Barbara Marshall just returned from an LDS mission to Nauvoo, 111. That made the family complete. Donald and Barbara are living at their home at Panguitch Lake. Our love and sympathy go out to Debra Mosdell at the death of her father in California. Jack and Ivadell Yardlcy celebrated cele-brated their 50th wedding anniversary anniver-sary on Sept. 4 with a family party at the Senior Citizen's center. All of their children were present as were eight of their grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In all, 45 people helped to celebrate. j |
