Show Tropic News By Ronnie Brinkerhoff 679-8734 Received a note and Kent and Betty Wintch report that their son, Rhea Wintch, has been set apart as the first counselor in the Bishopric of his LDS Ward in Las Vegas, Nev. Wanda Shakespeare called and reports re-ports grandson Todd Shakespeare graduated with high honors in the pharmacy field. Todd lives in Salt Lake City and is the son of Tom and Gay Shakespeare of Cannonville. Wanda always expresses ex-presses her love and appreciation for her family when she checks in. She reports that thanks to her family fam-ily and those who care, she is feeling feel-ing better after a "bad spell." Granddaughter Krisette is an especially espe-cially big help with the house work. Ken and Ruth LeFevre, Bountiful, were in town visiting sisters, Gaya Greenhalgh, Ora Brinkerhoff and Glenna Pollock. They spent time with Amplus LeFevre at the Extended Care Center also. Ora Brinkerhoff and daughter Donna Chynoweth, Escalante, traveled trav-eled to Cedar City to do some shopping. The town was out in numbers to greet the returning Brycettes from drill team competition in Ogden where they took a third place and the Sophomore Basketball Tournament Tourn-ament team who competed in Escalante ending up in fifth place. A large bon fire was the evening victory activity set up over the BV hill. Slate Stewart and Clint Brinkerhoff of Tropic and Brooke Shakespear of Cannonville took an over night excursion down in the lower country to Four Mile. The threesome took the trip horseback and enjoyed good dutch oven cooking cook-ing and best of all, good company. Can you believe it is almost March? So far we have had only a skiff of snow. Makes a person wonder what is in store. While Old Man Winter wreaks havoc on the eastern and southern states, we seem to be stuck in a dry cycle. This kind of winter is hard on trees, animals and poor old fanners. |
