Show i ' - , ... -,. , ........... ...... , Christian DeU "Chris" Schow PANGUITCH, Utah Christian Chris-tian Dell "Chris" Schow, 35, died Oct. 16, 1998 in Panguitch from injuries sustained in a construction accident. He was born Nov. 10, 1962 in Panguitch to Millard L. and Evanell Smith Schow. He married Suzanne Owens, Oct. 11, 1985 in Panguitch. Pan-guitch. She preceded him in death Nov. 23, 1991. Chris worked in construction, building homes, commercial buildings build-ings and many other structures. He was a devoted father. After his wife died in 1991, Chris was both father and mother to their daughter, Kelcie. He enjoyed hunting and being with his family. He is survived by his daughter, Kelcie Brooke Schow; mother, Evanell Schow; brothers, Greg Schow and Dave (Michelle.) Schow, all of Panguitch. He is preceded in death by his wife and father. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Tues-day, Oct. 20, 1998 in the Panguitch 1st LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Evan Boshell officiating. The family prayer was offered by Bill Savage, an uncle, with prelude and postlude music by Christine Littlefield. The invocation was offered by Rose Palmer, an aunt, followed by vocal selections, "Daddy's Hands" and "Angels Among Us," by Than Cooper and Jimmy Cooper. Speaking was Norman T. Henrie, a friend, followed by a taped vocal selection, "Holes in the Floor of Heaven," by Steve Warner. ft Chris Schow Final remarks were offered by Bishop Boshell, followed by Than and Jimmy Cooper singing "Angels Among Us." Steve King, a brother-in-law, offered the benediction. Pallbearers were Greg Schow, Dave Schow, Dave Dodds, John Talbot, Dempsey Morgan, Murray Condie, and Jordan Schow. Honorary Hon-orary pallbearers were Joe Beck-thold, Beck-thold, Bud Dodds, Brian Owens, Rex Johnson, Mark Barney, Bob law, Kenny Hoppes, Steven King, Vance Brown and Robert Barney. Carol Hales Carol Hales, age 56, passed away Friday, Oct. 16, 1998 in Og-den. Og-den. She was born May 27, 1942 in Panguitch, a daughter of Woodruff Woo-druff and Alva Barton Johnson. She married Michael Allen Hales on June 10, 1967 in Elko, Nev. They were married for 3 1 years. Carol worked as a clerk at the Internal Revenue Service. She is survived by her husband Michael; one son and one daughter: Gregory Allen Hales and Lori Ann Hales, both of Layton; two brothers and two sisters: Bill (Raelyn) Johnson, Paragonah; John L. (Barbara) Johnson, West Valley City; Barbara (Boby) Reid, Frederick, Freder-ick, Colo.; and Jean Duncan, Salt Lake City. Carol was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Johnson. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 22 at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1 867 North Fari-field Fari-field Road. Viewing will be from 12:30 - 1:45 p.m. that same day at the mortuary. Mary Jeanette McCormick Burgess , Mary Jeanette McCormick Burgess, died in Panguitch, Utah and returned to her Heavenly Father on Oct. 18, 1998. Jeanette was born in Provo, Utah Mar. 31, 1937 to Lloyd Howe Brown and Genene Young Woolley. Her childhood was spent between Provo and Kanab, Utah. She was married to Harvey Crofts and later to James McCormick, both deceased. Jeanette married her beloved Reuben E. Burgess on Feb. 4, 1997 in Las Vegas and, soon after, retired to Utah. She worked at the Sands Hotel in Las Vegas as senior switchboard operator for 30 years. After the Sands was demolished to make way for a new hotel, Jeanette worked for Bally's until she retired. She was a very dedicated employee who befriended be-friended and loved her fellow employees. em-ployees. She loved her children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. She was accomplished in handiwork, especially crochet and embroidery. She loved people and always showed heartfelt concern for them. She was preceded in death by her mother, father and stepfather, Joseph A. Woolley. She is survived by her husband, Reuben E. Burgess; three children, Robert Lloyd Crofts of Iowa; Lisa Marie Chastain of Las Vegas; and Clinton (Butch) Crofts of Oregon; seven grand-children and two great- Kenna Lou Dennett Newman Our beloved mother, grandmother, grand-mother, and friend, Kenna Lou Dennett Newman, died during the night in her home in Magna, Utah, October 18, 1998. She was bom June 13, 1948 in Cannonville, Utah. God bless her and those she leaves behind, her family friends and all her pets she loved. Kenna was a very special person; she cared' for so many people. She loved animals and would take in all that were in need. Kenna loved to listen to her music and play cards. We will all miss her smile and the laughter she gave to so many. God bless her. She is survived by husband, Robert Shirts; sons Charles (Jr.) and Sam Newman; grandchildren, Lori, McKayla, and Alex Newman; brother, Stewart Dennett; sisters, Ardell Martinez, Janet Rowlett, Marcy Burch, Kathryn Riffel, and Wenda Huskey, and her friends that all will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Carol. Carol Cooper Bunker PANGUITCH Carol Cooper Bunker, 66, passed away October 20, 1998 at Garfield Memorial Hospital in Panguitch of liver failure. She was born Sept. 23, 1932 in Provo to George Nathan and Cora Crandall Cooper. She was raised in Panguitch. She married Donald Bunker, Jan. 16, 1954 in Long Beach, Calif. The marriage was solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple, Jan. 20, 1979. She was an active member of the LDS Church where she served in different organizations. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Carol knew no strangers as she had the unique ability to make friends with anyone and everyone. She loved life. She is survived by her husband, Donald of Panguitch; sons: Craig (DorothyBunker, Seattle, Wash.; Carol Bunker David (Patricia) Bunker, Provo; daughters: Dorene Bunker of Provo, Ann (Bart) Johnston, Spanish Fork; nine grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Ken Cooper, Dorothy (Art) Chidester, Frank (Maxine) Cooper. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 24, 1998 at 1 p.m. in the Panguitch 3rd LDS Wand Chapel, 200 North 400 East.
