Show Panguitch News By Mamie Talbot 676-8084 The job of sidewalk superintendent superinten-dent over the work on the newly-being installed sewer line is a fascinating fasci-nating one. Watching so much dirt being moved by the big machinery, pipe installed so many feet down, then the trenches filled up again, all with the wind blowing a gale is so interesting. Watching from behind the big window of one's own home, seated in a favorite rocker, is great. After one day the job moves south. Oh well, so the job passes on to those up there. It's a share-the-en-tertainment sort of thing. The same thing happens on being be-ing confined to the local hospital for a few days in a room with a view of the nurses' station, nursery, surgery entrance, walking area and view of the rooms across it. It's something like watching a TV show with many stories taking place. Blanche Pendleton has a newly painted house, white, trimmed in dark green. Lovely. Ken and Emma Ahlstrom went to California to keep a medical appointment ap-pointment for Emma. They called on former Panguitch resident Marie Kohl in Las Vegas. She is the widow of the late barber Bud Kohl. She asked to be remembered to all her friends. Marie Kohl worked at Bryce Canyon while they lived here. Paul Callies was life flighted to Salt Lake City with heart problems. prob-lems. The day after he was flown north, a baby girl was born to son Ed and wife Suzanne Callies. That should be some kind of compensation compensa-tion to Paul and Carolyn. A sister, Kelsey, is happy with the new baby. Rick and Susan Sawyer's young daughter, Teresa, underwent surgery for appendicitis. She is doing well. Our love goes out to dear friend and neighbor Lamar Worthen and family at the death of Clara Worthen. She was truly a precious person. We will miss her. Gam Webb was brought home for burial. He died in Salt Lake City. Our sympathy goes to his brothers and sister. He was the son of the late Arlo and Ida Webb. Mamie Talbot is happy at the LDS mission calls of grandsons Seth Talbot Williams to the Spain Madrid mission and Aaron Alden Williams to the Canada Toronto mission. They are the sons of Dennis and Karen Talbot Williams of South Jordan. Seth will left July 3 and Aaron will leave August 14. The Wally Ortons have moved home from Cedar City. The Ryan Houstons have moved into their new home. Molly Christensen and Adam Soper were the youth speakers in the Panguitch LDS Third Ward. Wally and Amy Dodds wei the adult speakers. Barbara Bruhn Dirks, daughte. of Panguitchites Mary Lou Bruhn and the late William G. Bruhn, graduated gradu-ated from Weber State University with a masters degree in education on June 7. Her sister, Debara Beth Bruhn came from St. George for the graduation. Shirleen Blais is home after medical treatment up north. We wish her well. Mamie will 'be in Salt Lake City during July and part of August. If anyone would care to take over the Panguitch News column col-umn it would be appreciated.
