Show , ... . , Anthony Breaux Talbot Anthony Breaux Talbot, 7, of Payson, passed away Aug. 18, 1999 in Bountiful. He was born, Aug. 9, 1992 in Palm Springs, Calif., a son of Shauna Mecham and Gerald Newell Talbot. Tony is a special son of our Father Fa-ther in Heaven. He has brought countless blessings of love and joy into our family since the day he arrived on earth. He will be missed by his parents; par-ents; sisters: Jacquelyn and Taylor Talbot, all of Cedar City; grandparents: grandpar-ents: Lowell and Margaret Mecham of Tropic; Tom and Maxine Talbot of Greenwich; great-grandparents: Newell and Mildred Nielson of Greenwich, Norma Talbot of Pan-guitch, Pan-guitch, Melva Redford of West Valley Val-ley City, and Malen and Marian Mecham of Tropic. He is preceded in death by greatgrandfathers, great-grandfathers, John Redford and Roy Talbot. Funeral services were held on Monday, Aug. 23, 1999 in the John Clele Fletcher CANNONVILLE John Clele Fletcher, 84, of Cannonville, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1999 in Pan-guitch. Pan-guitch. He was born Oct. 12, 1914, in Panguitch, the eldest son of John and Maggie Mae Henderson Fletcher. The family resided in Cannonville Cannon-ville until he reached the age of 10, when they moved to Springville. He stated several times that this was the saddest day of his life. He always looked forward to the day when he could come back. He received his education in Springville, then went on to Brigham Young University where he earned a degree in geology. He married Mary Marva Thomson Thom-son in the Manti LDS Temple on Sept. 1, 1937. They lived in Springville for nine years, then moved to Cannonville Cannon-ville in 1946. He was offered the position of principal in the Cannonville Can-nonville School, which was later consolidated with Henrieville and Tropic." He then become principal of the elementary school there. He spent his summers attending school at BYU where he received a degree in education and his administration admini-stration certificate. He served as a seasonal ranger naturalist at Bryce Canyon National Park for many years. He was honored for the pamphlets and articles he had written writ-ten on the geology of the surrounding surround-ing area. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Latter-Day Saints, serving as stake executive execu-tive secretary and in the High Council. He also served as bishop and counselors in two bishoprics. He and his wife served an LDS mission to Alaska and were also ordinance workers in the St. George LDS Temple. He is survived by his wife, Marva, of Cannonville; five children: chil-dren: Sandra Wright, Charlottesville, Charlottes-ville, Va.; Annabelle Palmer, Fon-tana, Fon-tana, Calif.; Rosemary Fletcher, Cedar City; John Clele, Jr., (Fonda) Flectcher, Henderson, Nev.; and Rex (Leslie) Fletcher, Salt Lake City; 16 grandchildren; 13 greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; a brother, Quentin H. Fletcher, Rocklin, Calif, and a sister-in-law, Elaine Olsen. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Merle Green; brother: Wallace Reed Fletcher, and son-in-law, Willard Wright. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Aug. 21 at the Cannonville Cannon-ville LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Larry Fletcher officiating. The family prayer was offered by Rex Fletcher and prelude and postlude music was played by Gay Shakespear. The invocation was offered by President LaMonte Twitchell and the Cannonville Ward Choir sang "I Need Thee Every Hour", accompanied accompa-nied by Gay Shakespear and directed by Anita Fletcher. Family members gave a tribute to dad and the grandchildren sang "Families Can Be Together Forever," For-ever," accompanied by Ramona Morreale. Marty Rich and Bishop Sterling Wright were speakers and Ginger Reece played a violin selection. Special Remarks were offered by Bishop George Thompson and Bishop Larry Fletcher and the Cannonville Can-nonville Ward Choir sang "Abide I . i' ' Tony Talbot Tropic LDS Ward Chapel. Honorary pallbearers were Guy Thompson, Joe Thompson, George Thompson, Jr., Rusty Rich, Bob Joe Ott, Herb Baugh, and Kerry D. Nelson. Interment was in the Cannonville Cannon-ville Cemetery and the dedication of the grave was offered by Bishop Joe Thompson. Compassionate services were rendered by the Cannonville LDS Ward Relief Society sisters. Funeral directors: Neal S. Ma-gleby Ma-gleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield. ShonWade Barney ESCALANTE Funeral services serv-ices for Shon Wade Barney, 24, of Escalante, were held on Wednesday, Aug. 18 at the Escalante LDS Stake Center, with his father, Bishop Wade Barney officiating. The family prayer was offered by Ray Barney, an uncle and prelude prel-ude and postlude music was played by Susan Wilson, a friend. The invocation was offered by brother-in-law David Shakespear. Karen Peterson, a friend, sang "Forever Love," followed with remarks re-marks by an uncle, Brad Griffin, and his father, Bishop Wade Barney. Lynn, Delane and Brent Griffin, all friends, sang, "Country Roads (Escalante)." The benediction was offered by Greg Coleman, a cousin. Pallbearers were Lynn Barney, Anthony James Barney, Brandon Barney, Chad Williams, Dusty Barnson, and Travis Peterson. Honorary pallbearers were David Shakespear, Brian Stowe, Mike Stowe, Darrel Reid, Gery Rawlin-son, Rawlin-son, Lyle Davenport, and Ryan Horton. Interment was at the Escalante Cemetery and the dedication of the grave "was offered by Mac Barney, an uncle. Compassioante services were rendered by the Escalante 1st Ward Relief Socity sisters.
