On July 16 Pat and Ileta Dix left Panguitch accompanied by their grandson, Brandon Dix of Hatch, for a three-week visit with Pat's 91-year-old mother in Cincinnati, Ohio. Their visit was marred by overpowering heat and humidity that plagued the area with a terrible" drought. While there, Pat's mother had to be hospitalized and they spent their time caring for her.
