NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Garfield County Commission intends to establish a special service district for fire protection. The boundaries of the proposed special service district will cover the entire County of Garfield, State of Utah: Beginning at the intersection of the main channel of the Colorado "River with the line between townships town-ships 30 and 41 south, thence west along said township line to the line between ranges 5 and 6 west; thence south to the line between townships town-ships 33 and 34 south; thence west to the line between ranges 6 and 7 west; thence south to the line between be-tween townships 34 and 35 south; thence west to the line between ranges 7 and 8 west; thence south to the line between townships 37 and 38 south; thence east along said line between main channel of the Colorado River; thence northeasterly northeast-erly up said channel to the point of beginning. Taxes may be annually levied upon all taxable property within the service district and fees and charges may be imposed to pay for all or a art of the services to be provided y the service district. The Garfield County Commission believes a county-wide county-wide fire protection district is necessary nec-essary in order to obtain grant and loan monies for the improvement of local fire districts; to distribute other available fire protection funds in the most equitable manner possible; pos-sible; and to coordinate existing efforts ef-forts in fire protection throughout Garfield County. A PUBLIC HEARING will be held on the 10th dav of June, 1996, at the hour of 2:00 P.M., in the County Commission chambers of the Garfield County Courthouse, 55 South Main, Panguitch, Utah 84759, in order for the Commission to hear and consider public comment on the proposed special service district.
