Show Eleven Arrests For Over Limit Of Trout At Lake PANGUITCH LAKE Fishing Fish-ing was obviously very good at Panguich Lake over the Memorial Day Weekend. Division of Wildlife Resource Officers arrested 1 1 men on May 26 and charged them with taking over the limit in trout from Panguitch Lake. Mike Fowlks, conservation officer for the Panguitch District, received a tip from a concerned citizen that a group of men were fishing illegally. Fowlks observed the group for some four hours, then made contact with them and discovered that they were in possession of 140 trout. The limit is 6 fish per licensed angler, so the men were a total of 74 fish over limit. Cited were Raymondo Mauban, Jr., 42, of Orange, Calif.; Raymondo Ray-mondo Mauban, Sr., 70, of Yorba Linda, Calif.; Rene Mauban, 37 of Las Vegas; Verhny Avonzado, 29 of Brentwood, Mo; James Yang, 52, Mike Yang, 19, and Brent Kuy-kendall, Kuy-kendall, 19, all of Palos Verdes, Calif.; Peter Yang, 48, Matt Flynn, 20, and Andy Yang, 20, all of Huntington Beach, Calif, and Roger Yang, 21, of Palos Verdes, Calif. All of the men were charged with Class B misdemeanors, issued citations and released. They must appear in Justice Court in Panguitch before Justice John Yardley on or before June 10. Fowlks added that over limits on trout is one of the most common violations he deals with. On Panguitch Lake, the limit is six trout per licensed angler. Children under 14 don't need a license and can catch three fish on their own. This limit is a possession limit which includes fish kept in freezers at home or in cabins, in coolers in campers or motor homes. |
