Show Tropic News By Louise Ott 679-8776 Clyde Bybee, a brother to Clive Bybee, had open heart surgery and is going great. He and wife, Delia live in Boise, Ida. Stetson Mangum had his tonsils out in St. George. He is a son of the Tawn and Cami Mangum. Jade Harris, daughter of Ron and Susan Harris was at the Primary Childrens Hospital for tests. Crystal Mortensen, Keela Mangum and Iris Bushnell attended a Provo LDS Temple with Carson Johnson, son of Jeff and Kim Johnson. Keela also spent a day in Richfield with friend DayLean Houston from Kanab. Kent and Betty Lou Wintch spent a week at the LDS temple cottage and spent their Thanksgiving with their sons Kenneth Wintch from Caliente and Rhett Wintch from Panaca, Nev. They ate at Kenny's as Caliente is only seven miles from Panaca. Tracey Syrett spent a day in St. George. Eric and Tracey and children chil-dren were in Payson for Thanksgiving and then went to Salt Lake City to see Eric's sister. Dr. Richard Ott presented a medical med-ical paper at a recent convention in New Orleans. Reed and Mary LeFevre and Bart and Peggy Palmer were in Cedar City. Saw a new trailer by the LaMar LeFevre 's. Checked to see if someone some-one had moved in but LaMar said they put it there for a place for their children to stay when the bed and breakfast if full and family wants to visit. LaMar said they had moved the old blacksmith shed that belonged be-longed to his grandfather back by his other sheds but it was accidentally acciden-tally dropped in the process. He said it didn't do much damage because be-cause it was well built. Orlan and Ferriland Reusch are home from a lovely trip. They ended up at daughter Peggy Pitts. All of Peggy's children and their families were able to be there to visit with them. The Ruesches came back by way of Overton, Nev. It was 60 miles longer but some different country to travel through. At Tropic Town Council, Carl Boyd was issued a business license and the Syrett family was given permission to start building north of town. So our community will be expanding and changing. Don and Dixie Munson spent a day with Silas and Irene Munson. They had dinner and a nice day together. to-gether. Verlynn Munson is doing better. Wanda Shakespear had her toe operated on and says it is almost healed. John Henry and Joni Lyn Mecham were in Salt Lake City for a day. Joni reports her father is doing do-ing great after his heart attack. Arthur and Vicki Syrett have a nice drive and parking area around their place. Lamar Lefevre was moving a shed building that was his grandfather's blacksmith shop, it was dropped in the move but was not damaged, mad of good sturdy wood. At their place for Thanksgiving was daughter Susan; John Moody and family from Kanosh, son Clark and family; two of son Leslie's children, Gina and Kori from Las Vegas; around 15 in all. Clive, Thelma, Renon, Rick, aaron and Julie Bybee's families were in St. George. They expected to have around 60 in attendance. See Tropic News On Page 5-A |
