Show Panguitch News By Mamie Talbot 676-8084 Henry and Tanya Thomas drove to Louisiana to see Henry's mother, who was in a care center there. She seemed to rally and enjoyed having her family there. After a stay, the Thomas's drove back home and received re-ceived word that his mother had died. Henry turned around and drove back east again to be with his family fam-ily and lay their mother to rest. Our sympathy goes to the family. A new LDS primary presidency was sustained in the 3rd ward: Sherrie Burningham, president; Kathleen Cooper and Leniece Fischer, counselors and Amy Dodds, secretary. Mike Tebbs and Afton Morgan were Stake speakers for the 3rd ward. Michael Foy was the youth speaker. Randy Klein and Jeff Wilson received calls for priesthood responsibilties. The choir sang beautiful Thanksgiving songs. Now that the tourist travel has dropped off for the winter the trucking truck-ing industry is more apparent through town with freight, oil, sewer and logging trucks keeping the roads fairly busy. Logs are being be-ing hauled from the Sydney Valley area where beetle-invested trees are being cleared out. We haven't seen the conditions up past Panguitch Lake but hear the dead tree situation is shocking. It does make for more jobs here where trucking is a life saver and the dead timber can be used. We extend our love to the family fam-ily of Howard Kay Prince, who came home for his burial in Panguitch Cemetery. His dad Rulon and brother Merle live here. Charles and Lorene Hepworth and the Glen Owens' had their kids, Pam and Bobby Owens, here from Clearfield. Kevin Hepworth and two sons came from Cedar City to visit with the family. Chad Brinkerhoff, son of Kendell and Marilyn Brinkerhoff, has received a mission call to serve in Australia. Two new full-time LDS missionaries mis-sionaries have just arrived in this area. Elder Bennett is from Calgary, Canada and Elder Patton is from Los Angeles. They spoke in the Panguitch LDS 3rd Ward on Sunday. The youth speaker was Teresa Sawyer and the Primary childrens' choir sang a medley of songs. If anyone wants to schedule the LDS Stake Center for an activity it must be done through Lynn Allen. The 2nd3rd ward chapel is to be scheduled through Lee Mullenaux. Steve Marshall is building a new drug store on the historic Tabernacle Square, or as most people peo-ple knew it, the North Ward lawn. Casey Smith Christensen, son See Panguitch News On Page 5-A Panguitch News (From Page 2-A) of Scott and Joyce Christensen, was made a deacon in Panguitch LDS 1st Ward sacrament meeting. New Primary workers there are Teresa Birch, president; Deanna Gillies and Jenifer Guilette, counselors, and Shara Blais, secretary. Jay and Maxine Crosby went with Philip and Jaynell Bailey to Provo to attend the wedding of Evan Crosby's son Mark Crosby to Tanya Jessop. After returning home, Maxine went to Richfield for outpatient knee surgery. It is really great now that kind of surgery can be done so quickly. A number of home folks have had one or the other recently. Medical specialists come from other medical centers to treat folks in the smaller areas for certain problems. Thanks a million! mil-lion!
