Show Tropic News By Louise Ott 679-8776 On July 17, Margaret Mecham and daughter Marge Mecham attended the funeral of Margaret's sister Ann McDougall of West Valley City. Fern Crawford called the other day tell me that she and husband J.L. have completed their book, "Red Brick Homes and Other Buildings of Panguitch." Fern did the writing and J.L. took the pictures. pic-tures. Linda Eddy Blake of Manti called and said that she and her sisters were in Paris, France last fall where they had a wonderful time. Linda said to send her love to all her friends here in Tropic. She lived with Stan and Louise Ott for several months, and she and daughter Marilyn were dear friends.. Carma Barton is in Cedar City helping daughter Connie Sawyer with those darling twin daughters who were born on July 15. From all reports, they are all doing great. Visiting with Scott and Marie Barton were friends of Marie's, Kathy Klein from Las Vegas and Jill Chapman from Missoula Mont. Lesa Pollock was in St George for a check-up and her doctor is very pleased with her progress. We're happy to report that Kath-ern Kath-ern Syrett is home now, also recuperating re-cuperating rapidly from her recent surgery DeAnna Linford, daughter of Jack and Mae Chynoweth, took out her endowments in the Jordan River LDS Temple. Her two special spe-cial friends Marge Mecham and (See Tropic News On Page 3-A) - - Tropic News From Page 2-A Keela NJangum were in attendance, atten-dance, along with her brother and sisters. Mae said that it was a very special time, also that Jack will be having a birthday on July 23 and that all of his children plan to be here for it. Dean and Erma Wintch have had daughter Paula and husband LeRoy Hughes and family from Phoenix, Ariz, staying at the cabin for two months. They went on to California but plan on being back for the the Pioneer Day celebration. Gloria Hatch and daughter Trish Leesmeister were here for the graveside service for Gloria's niece Wanda. The John Hatch family had a reunion over the weekend of July 18 at King's Creek campground. Beverly and Russell Wright from Hurricane, Dar and Norma Hatch from Orem; Dave and Gerry Mumford from Sandy; and many more came for the reunion. John Pitts, grandson of Fer-riland Fer-riland and Orlan Ruesch, has been staying with them this summer. sum-mer. He's really had a good time going fishing and is learning lots of new things. JoNeil and Kerry Alvey were in Salt Lake City and grandmothers grandmoth-ers Beverly Wright and Rella Alvey took care of those precious grandsons. Kay and Maureen Mangum were in town for the missionary report of Mark Stewart. Louise Ott and Janet Pollock were in Henrieville for LDS Sacrament Sac-rament meeting where the choir presented a program, "Faith In Every Footstep." It was very beautiful and was extremely touching with the story told in verse and singing. Jeanne Chynoweth, Janet's daughter, was part of the choir. Robin Griffin and children were at her parents, Charlie and Eva Dean Francisco getting apples ap-ples to bottle. There have been a lot of cherries and apples this year and some apricots. Don and Dixie Munson visited their father Silas Munson and attended a Johnson reunion and were able to visit with the friends who were here for Eldon's funeral. Lots and lots of memories were shared that day. |
