Show flBKYCE CANYON NEWD By Marta Peterson 834-5306 The monsoon season has arrived at Bryce Canyon National Park. The housing complex residents look forward to the afternoon thunderstorms thun-derstorms but the park visitors are not so thrilled to be out hiking when these showers begin. The best time to enjoy a walk on the trails at Bryce Canyon is during the morning hours when it is cool and dry. The John Morlock family enjoyed en-joyed a visit with John's sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Ray Lan-glois Lan-glois from Houston, Tex. The Langloises appreciated the cool dry climate of Bryce Canyon instead of the hot muggy summer days of south Texas. They especially relished rel-ished the wonderful mountain bike trails on the neighboring Forest Service land. Ray and Edna Queen of Alpine, Tex. also were recent visitors at the Morlock home. The , Morlock Family. Motel is being ' kept quite busy this summer. The Bryce Canyon rangers and other Garfield County Emergency Medical Technicians had the gratifying gratify-ing experience of saving a visitor's life during an intense anaphylactic ' shock episode. The ambulance folks are all volunteers who provide a necessary service by donating their time and expertise to make Garfield County a safer and healthier health-ier place to live. Marge Rogers was taken out to lunch by her park friends as a way to say "thank you" for all her hard work during her many volunteer hours of service at Bryce Canyon. |
