Show By Jeanne Harshman 335-7348 More sunny days seem to prevail pre-vail than stormy ones. Spring will soon be here with the promise of new birth once again fulfilled upon the earth. Dr. John Austin has been in town. Sue Bassett's parents, Jack and Enid Bassett, are always a welcome sight and are visiting in Boulder with Sue and enjoying the activities of the Boulder Elementary school children. A birthday party for Susie Prince, a teacher's aide, was celebrated at the school and everyone every-one made homemade ice cream as a highlight of the party. Ada Cox, president of the LDS Young Women's MIA reports that a beautiful program was presented by the young ladies called New Beginnings and An Evening of Excellence. Seven different tables (for seven girls) were decorated with displays of crafts and skills that girls had worked on this past year. Mia Maid Nola Coombs did a great job of decorating the main table with lace and lollipops. Beehive Heather Davis received her first year Beehive Award commendation commen-dation for achieving all her requirements require-ments for personal work. Lovely padded photo albums were given to Betsy Fullmer and Ashley Greer as new members of the Young Women's program. Each girl has an album, made in her favorite color, in which to keep special awards, notes, and remembrances from her Young Women's program. Ivan and Dorothy Lyman went to SL George and Bill Cox, Ray and Jeanne Harshman went to Panguitch Pan-guitch to attend a county commissioners commis-sioners meeting and the monthly local government Comprehensive Planning Project meeting. The aerobics group have just completed six weeks of activity and reports are that they are showing show-ing some all around improvements in weight control, stamina, and extra energy. Hats off to them and all of the above. Variety is what makes the world go round. Keep us informed on what's new with you. |
