Show I Simons Receive Silver Beaver I ESCALANTE Carol Simons of Escalante has received the highest high-est award given by the Utah National Na-tional Parks Council of the Boy Scouts of America, the Silver Beaver. The award is presented to outstanding out-standing men and women volunteer leader in the council area, from Provo south. Simons is presently registered as a den leader. She has received adult training and has previously been awarded the adult On My Honor award, Den Leaders Training Award, and two Second Milcr awards. She has been active in 4-H, Little' League, and Bantam Basketball. She and her husband Quay have one daughter, an Eagle Scout son, a Life Scout son, and a Star Scout son. She is a teacher at Escalante Elementary, El-ementary, teaching the third grade. She graduated from Dixie College I ,J f- u ! ' V icl i g I.
