Show ! - Tropic Topics - Ella Adair Jeannene Pollock and mary Lee Ramsay spent a day with Brenda Shakespear in Page and helped her celebrate her birthday. On the way home they visited Mary Lee's mother in Kanab. The Norm Littlefields had grandson Darrell Littlefield spend a few days with them. His father, Jay Littlefield and some of his football players also came to visit the Littlefields Lit-tlefields over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Littlefield were in St. George for eye appointments. Daughter Christine accompanied them. The three spent the night with Renone Hodson in Cedar City and visited with Thelma Jolley: The senior citizens had their Valentine dinner in the scout house. Following the dinner, several went to Panguitch to see the Bryce Valley-Panguitch basketball game. Tropic gained three new residents during the week. Mr. and Mrs. John Henry Mecham had a baby boy. Mr. and Mrs. Keven Shakespear had a baby girl. Mr. and Mrs. Shane Boger had a baby girl. Mr. and Mrs. Val Shakespear spent the weekend with Marina Shakespear. Susan Syrett was home for the weekend from college. Karleen Muir had her niece and two friends from Brigham Young University spend the weekend with her at Rubys Inn. Crissy Chynoweth visited over the weekend with her grandparents, the Jack Chynoweths and with friends. The Clive Bybees had daughter Kaelynn and husband, son Keven and wife and their children spend the weekend with them. Speakers in sacrament meeting were Amber Brinkerhoff and Brayton Talbot as youth speakers, and President Vernon Spencer and Jay Porter. Shaunna Mecham and Sherrie Mecham sang a duet. Memberships for Mr. and Mrs. Layne LeFevre were read. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle J. LeFevre and sister Linda LeFevre visited over the weekend with the Layne LeFevres and with Flora LeFevre. A special meeting will be held in the school at 7 p.m. tonight for the purpose of organizing a Girl Scout troop. Maureen Mangum is in charge of the meeting. Mr. and Mrs. George Wilson are the new special program directors of the ward. The DUP group met in the Scout House. Violet Littlefield gave a lesson on "The Rivers of Utah" and Marian Shakespear gave the history. Mae Chynoweth and Zora Bell Pollock were hostesses. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hurt have returned home after a month's stay in Las Vegas. Bob's surgery was successful, but he still has problems with the eye. While there they received a new granddaughter born to son Pat and his wife. Several of our basketball fans attended the tournament Saturday in Kanab. Mr. and Mrs. Tim Feltner spent the weekend with the LaMar Feltners. Ora Brinkerhoff spent a few days with her daughter. Louise in Springdale. |
