Show Two Men Are Arrested On Illegal Drug Charges PANGUITCH Judge David Mower found probable cause to bind over for trial two Garfield County men to answer to drug-related charges. Brothers Matthew Lagasse of Richfield and Jason La-gasse La-gasse of Tropic were arrested the April 14, Jason in Panguitch and Matthew in Richfield. The two appeared before Judge David Mower, acting as magistrate, on April 15 where bail was set at $1,000 each. Matthew Lagasse is charged with possession of metham-phetamines, metham-phetamines, a 3rd degree felony; arranging ar-ranging for distribution of a controlled con-trolled substance, a 3rd degree felony; possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a class B misdemeanor. Matthew was stopped in his ve hicle in Panguitch by Panguitch Police Chief Martin Nay who arrested ar-rested him without a warrant based on probable cause that a crime had been committed. He was booked into the Garfield County Jail. Following Fol-lowing his arrest, a warrant was issued is-sued to search the Lagasse residence in Tropic. Following the search, Jason Lagasse La-gasse was arrested by Sheriff Than Cooper. He was booked into the county jail where he was charged with distribution of a controlled substance, a 3rd degree felony; possession pos-session of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, parapherna-lia, both class B misdemeanors. Judge Mower set bail at $1,000 each. The two, both of whom are employed, were instructed to obtain lawyers and to appear in court May 6. |
