| Show BIG TRACK MEET HERE ON FRIDAY box elder high school sponsors meet for og den cache divisions eight high schools representing the ogden and the cache divisions will meet in the box elder campus next friday in an invitation track meet it is expected that the affair will be a great athletic event the meet is being sponsored by coach ferguson ot of box elder and its purpose will be to give development to the various track and field artists of 0 the eight schools and also to furnish the tans fans ot of brigham with a real spring sport dish As the division meet will be held at davis this year this meet will be the only one the local fans ans will bo be privileged to see here the track team at box elder la is coming along nicely ferguson took a group ot of athletes down to the big invitational high school carnival at provo last saturday and they acquitted themselves right nobly one first two seconds and a third out ot of sixteen events Is quite a showing considering the number of schools represented at the affair henry nielsen covered himself with the proverbial glory when he be stepped out to heave the shot 42 ft 4 inches tor for first in that event dill bill todd collected a second in the high jump the team composed of glover call W petersen and norm anderson came puffing in second in the medley relay and beecher beecker collected a third in the strenuous halt half mile event it other athletes develop as they are expected during the next week the local school should have something to show chow folks next friday afternoon |
