Show Travel Film Available In Garfield Garfield Travel Council Chairman Chair-man Bob Benfield announced the acquisition by the Color Country Travel Council of a new promotional promo-tional film entitled, "Impressions of Utah" being made available by the Utah Travel Council. The new film highlights the states scenic beauty, recreational opportunities and pioneer past It is a film version of the Travel Council's Coun-cil's award-winning 24-page promotional insert which was the centepiece of the UTC's 1986 and 1987 summer advertising campaigns. cam-paigns. The insert and the film feature fea-ture the impressions of four travel writers and their families who recently re-cently visited the state. The film will also play an important im-portant role in our promotional efforts. ef-forts. UTC Director Jay C. Wool-ley Wool-ley says, "We will be making it available to domestic tour operators. opera-tors. We will also use it as a direct marketing tool." In a test program slated to start next year, the Travel Council will be offering a videotape of the film to 2,500 people responding to UTC advertising. Woolley says, "This will be an excellent way to get these people to visit the state." If the program is successful it will be expanded in the future. Service organizations, church groups, schools, governmental agencies, and others can borrow the film for non-commercial use. The film is available in 16mm and half-inch half-inch videotape formats. Benfield said that Garfield County Coun-ty tourism is now on a roll "and anything that we as county residents resi-dents can do to enhance our county's coun-ty's image with tourists will help us all." |
