Show Easter Bunny Offsets Poor Easter Weather The Easter bunny was generous at this year's annual Questers Easter Egg Hunt, even if the weather proved uncooperative. Although the blustery next-to-last day of March was lion-like, and numbers may have been diminished slightly, a significant number of eager youngsters were not about to give in to the elements. At the Panguitch LDS Stake Center, the problem was solved for pre-schoolers who simply had their hunt inside. Hours of preparation went into getting ready for the hunt which took the determined youngsters young-sters only minutes to conclude. Winning grand prize Easter baskets bas-kets were Nicole Orion, 2; Amanda Barney, 3; Bret Sawyer, 4; and David Nolan, 5. The hunt for school-age children, K-5, was held at Panguitch City Park where the speed of the hunt was spurred by both the wind and the weather. Taking grand prizes there were kindergartener Brady Johnson, first grader Cathy Beck-with; Beck-with; second grader Danny Yardley; third grader, Carla Farnsworlh; fourth grader, Amanda Talbot; and fifth grader Kenny Tebbs. Members of the Questers colored 90 dozen eggs and prepared the grand prize baskets and other gifts for the children, an annual activity for the civic-minded group. They are seeking more members. Interested individuals can call club president Denise Dastrup. |
