Show By Mamie Talbot 676-8084 The sunshine and shadows that sent the ground hog back into his burrow, brought a pair of confused robins to the valley to gather dried grass for a nest in the pine tree and the bright streak of. a mountain blue bird darting over the fields. Hilda Gardiner is home from a month long stay in Washington state with her family Harry J. and Rolayne Gardiner. Marie Liston has received an LDS mission call to Little Rock, Ark. She hopes, with help, to keep her business open to supply fabric needs of the area while she is gone. The Kevin Hepworths were here visiting with their folks Chuck and Lorene Hepworth. Barbara Talbot came from the four corners area for the weekend. She and Mom, Mamie, went to Enoch to see the Alan Talbot family fam-ily and to get acquainted with an exciting addition to the family-a horse named Ellie. Latitia Madsen, daughter of the Curtis Madsens, was baptized this past week in the Panguitch Second Ward. Joan Norton was called as the Panguitch Stake Young Woman's Camp Director. Ranse Savage, son of the Dave Savages, reported on his LDS mission mis-sion to Peru. The town is saddened by the death of our veterinarian, Dr. Bill Christy in an auto accident. We extend ex-tend our love and sympathy to his family. Friends and former residents, the Bill Edgingtons, report that Bill is in St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction, Colo, with terminal termi-nal cancer. Merle and Pauline Prince went to Orlando, Fla. where they met their daughter and son-in-law and spent a week having a ball at Disney Dis-ney World and Epcot Center. The piano students of Elizabeth Foy, their parents and friends had a party at the Panguitch LDS Stake Center where each student presented pre-sented a special number. Those performing per-forming were: Holly Anderson, Tania Hatchcock, Catherine and Byron By-ron Howard, Marie Liston, Emily and Nick Matthew, Garrett Owens, Tawny Syrett, Heidi Woolsey, Danny Yardley, Luke Yardley and Nichole Yardley. A large crowd enjoyed the occasion. Members of the Cornelia Camp DUP met at Pauline Prince's home. Pauline read her father, Frank Sevy's history and Lucile Bridges gave the histories of Washington, Iron and Sanpete counties. Nin and Lois Miller traveled north to help their granddaughter celebrate her birthday. They also visited Del Miller in Clearfield. Del is holding his own after surgery. In the Panguitch LDS Third Ward, Emily Moser received her Gospel in Action award. Little Misty Nicole Grey was blessed by her father Dale Grey. Dee Houston is in Garfield Memorial Hospital for possible surgery. His sons, Dave and Fred, came to help out. The babies of the Mac Hatches and Henry Worthens are in the hospital with the flu that is affecting affect-ing so many infants in the area. |
