Show It's The Least We Can Do! I want to say something about a dear friend to all of us who died tragically the other day. Bill Christy, known affectionately to all of us as "Doc," was a person who sacrificed himself and his family in order to help us and our needs. The demands we made of his time were so great that he had very little time to do anything but work. I have seen him on the highways, in all kinds of weather, at any time of the day or night. He truly was a selfless self-less person who dedicated his entire life to helping others. Doc literally died helping others. The day of his accident he was very sick, so sick that he should have been home in bed getting well. But there was only one problem in his mind, the fact that someone needed his help and he never in his life refused re-fused to help anyone. I never heard Doc say anything but good about anyone, he loved us all and he loved his work. He was truly a Christlike Christ-like person. We will all sorely miss him and his memory will be in my mind for the rest of my life. Now my friends, it is time for us to give! As you all know, Doc hated, actually he refused, to put on paper what you owed him. I for one owe him money, and those of you who also do, need to search your minds and decide as close as you can what you owed him. Maybe none of us knows' exactly how much we owe but I think if we search our minds and hearts, we can come pretty darn close. I'm sure there is no one out there who feels that since there is nothing written and Doc is gone, that they are going go-ing to forget about it. That would be such a terrible thing. Doc's family fam-ily must go on in this life, and they need every penny they can get. Those of you who know his family, fam-ily, know that they are the same kind of loving, caring people that Doc was. They are not going to come to you and ask you have to go to them. Please, I beg of all of you, don't sour Doc's memory and give yourself your-self a guilty conscious by failing to pay what is owed. He gave you his entire soul, and all of his time, now please give what you owe to his family. Even if it is $10 a month until your debt is paid. I know that everyone will be honest about this. Doc truly cared about all of us. The least we can do is this for his family so he can rest in peace. Craig Twitchell Panguitch, Utah |
