Show Business Is Growing In Escalante The Escalante Chamber of Commerce is welcoming new business busi-ness operations into the community and watching as established businesses busi-nesses change hands and grow. The chamber is readying for its next meeting on April 17 at the Golden Loop restaurant at 6 p.m. Larry and Jackie Withers have opened their new business at 125 East Main as Escalante Realty and Country Cottage Gifts. Larry is the broker and the two will manage their gift shop featuring locally made gifts items.. Frontier Service, owned and operated by Curt Richins on West Highway 12 is now fully licensed as an official towing and impound yard for Garfield County. New owners at the Frosty Shop at 40 East Main are Quinn and Doneen Grilhn. Donecn will also operate as a real estate agent for ERA Realty at the site. New in town at 39 West Main is the Crooked Thunder Trading Company, operated by Georgette Costigan and Jennifer Brewer, will be selling leather bags and pouches, beads, jewelry and pottery pit-fired by Richard "Claybcar" Cosugan. Cottams Oil Company has purchased the former H & S Service at 80 East Main. It will be operated oper-ated by Brent Cottam as Cottams 66. |
